Principal photography is scheduled to take place in Italy in May.Īccording to Deadline, the movie is set in the summer of 1957 and based on the 1991 book Enzo Ferrari: The Man, The Cars, The Races, The Machine by Brock Yates.
It was then announced that the upcoming movie will have a star-studded cast headlined by Adam Driver, Penélope Cruz and Shailene Woodley. The news comes after Mann signed domestic and international distribution deals with STXfilms. Entitled Ferrari, the film is a long-awaited passion project of American director Michael Mann, who gained fame for his work on Heat and Miami Vice.
